Trowelled Resurfacers - Commercial Catering Kitchen

  • Customer did not like the grout seams in the existing quarry tile floor.
  • The finished floor was entirely seamless and sanitary.


All work was performed while customer was in operation. This scope of work was completed at various sites for this particular customer. After preparation by shotblasting, the quarry tile floor was resurfaced using novalac trowelled epoxy mortar, including integral trowelled cove base. The walls were coated with a 100% solids epoxy coating.

Trowelled Resurfacers

Preparation by shotblasting, followed by power trowel application of epoxy resurfacer, stone grinding, and application of epoxy topcoat.

Trowel Applied Epoxy Flooring

  • 22,000 sf of ¼” thick 100% solids trowel applied epoxy topping.
  • Shotblasted in one day with our 32” shotblaster. Primed, Power.
  • Trowelled at a ¼” thickness, Ground, Grouted with a thick 100% solids epoxy, and sealed with a CRU chemical resistant urethane.
  • We then added the safety striping and aisleways.
  • Customer was surprised that all work was completed in 8 days. The competition needed 12 days.
